One special kid

Earlier this spring, Thomas and Friends—A Circus Comes to Town hit the Capitol Theatre stage, bringing in a full house of adoring fans.

Four-year-old Isaac Esquivel was one of those lucky audience members, and deservedly so. Recently diagnosed with leukemia, Isaac has spent time over the past year being poked and prodded to determine why he wasn’t well. Since he’s such a huge fan of the little tank engine, Isaac’s parents felt he really deserved to see the show.

When the
Capitol Theatre learned Isaac’s story, and discovered that his family was a little short on funds for tickets, the Theatre donated the tickets to them. They even arranged for a thrilled Isaac to meet “Sir Topham Hat” after the show!

“We love being able to help out,” says Gay Parker, General Manager for the theatre. “Being accessible to everyone is part of our mission.”
